About the Retreat

Join Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers Shannyn Joy Potter and Nancy Marcy for a rejuvenating week of twice daily Iyengar yoga classes. The sessions will take place in the resort’s newest shala, which features a rope wall and overlooks the ocean. Our schedule includes active asana in the morning and restorative yoga and pranayama in the afternoon. You will have free time between the classes to relax or enjoy one of the many activities offered such as hiking, whale watching, petroglyph tour or trips to the local market. Please note that the retreat is limited to 20 participants. One year of Iyengar Yoga experience or permission from the instructors is required.

About the Teachers

Shannyn Joy Potter

Shannyn Joy Potter has been practicing yoga since the mid 90’s and teaching since 2010. She is a CIYT, a certified Iyengar yoga teacher and a C-IATY, Certified International Yoga Therapist.  Shannyn is grateful for the teachings of yoga and aims to help others find freedom from pain. She sees the practice of yoga as a means of transformation with the ability to change the mind, body and spirit in ways that are beneficial and accessible to all.  https://www.nkbyoga.com/

Nancy Marcy

Nancy Marcy is a retired physical education teacher with over 25 years’ experience teaching yoga. She is a certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT-II), a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT), and registered with the Yoga Alliance (E-RYT 500). She teaches group and private yoga at several locations in the Twin Cities area. http://lifelongiyengar.com/

These are Guest Rooms with a Loft to be shared between 4 women. The women’s dorm is a guaranteed rate; as a result, Mar de Jade reserves the right to assign roommates from different retreats in order to fill the dorm or to reassign participants to a guest room single or double if it doesn’t fill.
