Jen and Kathleen will alternate teaching invigorating morning classes and restorative, relaxing afternoon sessions. Both teachers believe in the adaptability and accessibility of yoga. They challenge their students to fully surrender and embrace the softer side of yoga. Morning and afternoon classes may include pranayama practice, meditation, and mindfulness practices. Kathleen Matuszewich
Kathleen Matuszewich was introduced to yoga by her college modern dance teacher Anna Leo, while studying at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Kathleen continued to dance following college and practiced yoga, primarily as a way to relieve some of her body aches and pains. As her dance career faded into motherhood, her interest in yoga moved from merely physical to much more. Eager to deepen her study of and relationship with yoga, Kathleen completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in June 2015 at Bloom Yoga Studio. She is grateful to the Bloom family. Kathleen loves taking yoga classes, and continues to ponder yoga’s many gifts on the mat and off. She teaches yoga as she taught dance, with a respect to its function and form, a playful willingness to explore, deep curiosity and joy.
