Spend a week recharging, exploring the beauty of the natural world, and feeding your body, mind, and soul through the transformative practices of yoga and meditation. The week will include yoga, meditation, chanting, dharma talks, nutritious organic food, swimming in the ocean, laughing and reconnecting with friends. Local excursions and nature adventures include whale watching, snorkeling, hiking, surfing, fishing, and horseback riding!

Programa

Mornings begin with group seated meditation, followed by a gentle yoga class. Mid-morning, after breakfast, are optional «Soul Food» sessions. The content is wide ranging, from specific spiritual practices to group exercises exploring important internal or interpersonal themes. After lunch is free time to enjoy the beach, ocean, and the local town. The late afternoon yoga class is a more challenging intermediate level, followed by dinner. Interspersed throughout the week are sessions with dance, chanting, and other optional activities. There is no pressure to attend all sessions. Participants are encouraged to enjoy each day to the fullest, whatever that looks like to them.

Sobre los maestros

Tilak Pyle

Tilak Pyle teaches yoga as a deep, intuitive practice of awareness. His teaching style is influenced by his work with Yoga Master Sri Swami Satchidananda, renowned Freedom Style teacher Erich Schiffmann, Sufi Master Asha Greer, and a continuous dedication to the Teacher within. He is known for his presence, sincerity, and unflinching commitment to authentic sharing. He teachers local class in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and leads national workshops and international retreats. His joy is facilitating meaningful experiences in the lives of his students.

Asha Greer

Asha Greer has been a longtime guide for people wanting a deeper intimacy with themselves and the sacred.  Her approach is ecumenical although she draws often on both Sufi and Buddhist practices in her teaching. She has been a student of the Way for her entire life. Her experiences as a daughter, mother, grandmother, teacher, artist, nurse, wife, divorcee, et.al., have fed her practice and her teaching.

Kate Zuckerman

Kate Zuckerman began teaching yoga in 2002 and is the founder and former director of Common Ground Healing Arts, a nonprofit organization that brings complementary health services to Charlottesville, VA and the surrounding communities on a donation basis. Kate’s teaching incorporates the philosophy of yoga and emphasizes presence, peace, and poise in each pose. Students will hold postures for a period of time in order to learn more about themselves and the pose. Kate is grateful to her primary teacher, Kofi Busia, who is one of the world’s foremost instructors in the Iyengar tradition.
