Escape to the breathtaking shores of Mar de Jade in Chacala, Mexico for a rejuvenating 7-day, all-inclusive yoga retreat designed to nourish body, mind, and spirit.
Throughout the week, we’ll journey through the Niyamas – the personal observances of yoga philosophy – using these timeless teachings as a guide for self-reflection, intentional living, and inner transformation. Daily yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practices will be woven together with meaningful discussions, creating space for both personal growth and deep rest.
Between practices, relax on the pristine beachfront, lounge by the pool, explore the beauty of the Mexican coast, or simply savor moments of stillness. Enjoy nourishing, chef-prepared meals, comfortable accommodations, and the ease of an all-inclusive experience.
Whether you’re seeking renewal, inspiration, or a deeper connection to yourself and others, this retreat offers the perfect balance of practice, relaxation, and authentic community. Come as you are and leave feeling refreshed, grounded, and connected.
Christina Lagdameo, Vajra Romano, Anne Laderman & Kehle Kaivalya
Christina Lagdameo: After experiencing profound loss, Christina found her way back to the transformative practices of yoga and meditation, discovering—as Hermann Hesse wrote in Siddhartha—that “he has given to me myself.” Her path led her through intensive Zen training on Oahu and three years of Ashtanga yoga study in Mysore, India, where she also shared yoga and meditation with survivors of human trafficking through the nonprofit Odanadi. Inspired by these experiences, Christina dedicated her life to sharing these practices in service of healing, self-realization, and community.
Vajra Romano: After graduating from high school, Vajra embarked on a spiritual journey that began with a life-changing week alone in Olympic National Park, where he discovered the resilience of his True Self. His path led him to study meditation with Tibetan Buddhist monks in Nepal and earn a Bachelor’s degree in Yoga at Naropa University. After teaching throughout the U.S. for a decade, Vajra and his wife, Christina, returned to Olympia to found True Self Yoga, fulfilling a lifelong vision of sharing the transformative practices of yoga and meditation with their community.
Anne Laderman: Anne discovered yoga in 1992 and has been teaching since 2000. An E-RYT 500 and certified Thai Yoga Therapist, she has shared her teaching in California, Arizona, New Zealand, and now Olympia, Washington. Anne is passionate about creating spaces for connection, growth, and self-discovery, and finds deep joy in being a lifelong student, time in nature, and being with her children and loved ones.
Kehle Kaivalya: Kehle began practicing yoga in 2009 and completed her 200-hour RYT at True Self Yoga in 2018. She is currently completing her 300-hour yoga teacher training with Mark Stephens, continuing to deepen her studies in yoga philosophy, teaching methodology, and the transformative power of practice. Kehle brings a joyful, encouraging energy to every class, creating a space where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired. She is passionate about helping others build strength, cultivate resilience, and discover greater connections on and off the mat.
