About the Retreat
Join us for a meaningful, two-week vacation that combines volunteering, Spanish classes, rest, reflection and exploration of the natural surroundings.
Support TAO Trade School and Organic Farm while learning new skills in the following areas:
● Food Processing Industry (making marmalade, dehydrating fruits, processing organic produce)
● Carpentry Workshop
● Conversational ESL with students
● Organic Farming
● Organic Egg production
● Organic Bee Keeping
● Construction (help build a school or house for under-served local families)
● General maintenance
Special focus projects available for people with experience and training in the following areas:
• Teacher Training (Montessori, Waldorf, Mindfulness, socio-emotional intelligence, Special Ed, Non-violent communication skills, etc).
• Speech pathologist, psychologist and trauma specialists
• Teaching Art, Sports, Martial Arts, Music
• Team building workshops for adolescents
• Master carpenter

• June 1- 15th *RECEIVE 20% DISCOUNT OFF ROOM & BOARD*

• October 26- November 9

Schedule
Sample Schedule*:
- 8am: Breakfast
- 9am-1:30pm Monday- Friday: Volunteering
- 1:45pm: Lunch
- 4-6pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday: Optional Spanish Classes (rates below)
- 6:30pm: Dinner
- 8pm: Occasional evening activities (bonfire, live music, Mexican cinema)
- Saturday & Sunday: Optional activities and excursions (hike, boat trip, petroglyph exploration)

Optional Spanish Classes
Private: $25 / hr
Group*: 2 weeks / 12hrs total $180
Placement in a group class is contingent on 3 or more students signing up for the same or compatible Spanish level and is not guaranteed.
