About the Retreat

Coming back to yourself is a week-long retreat that integrates various yoga, meditation, and introspection practices. It’s designed to help you reconnect with your essence and rediscover yourself in a loving way amidst the relaxed and paradisiacal atmosphere of the beaches of Nayarit at Mar de Jade.

The intention of this retreat is to provide you with a space to disconnect from your daily environment, delve inward through your body, and give your mind and body the necessary relaxation to listen to the sound and calls of your heart.

If you’re seeking to rediscover yourself with a compassionate approach through movement and exploration of your mind, this is an excellent opportunity to delve into your inner self.

Carla is a university professor who has been practicing Yoga and meditation since 2006.

A lover of nature, the sea, and the simplicity of life, she is an eternal student who stays continuously updated on Yoga and movement practices based on science.

In her journey through Yoga, she has explored various methods; since 2017, she has been training in the Iyengar method. Consequently, her teaching incorporates a wide variety of props to adapt postures according to the bodies and needs of her students, offering creative and accessible sequences.

She obtained her certification as a Hatha Yoga instructor from the Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana S-VYASA University in Bangalore, India, in 2019.

Carla has led two Yoga projects, the first from 2012 to 2020, and currently directs “Muévete conCiencia,” where she promotes health and well-being through Yoga resources, mindful movement, meditation, and breathwork based on well-being neuroscience.

Lily is a psychologist and psychotherapist with 10 years of experience working in Mexico and the United States.

Fascinated by movement from a young age, she spent many of her formative years training in dance and exploring various modalities. In 2015, seeking new forms of movement, Lily discovered yoga for the first time. A year later, she fell in love with the Ashtanga yoga method, making it a regular part of her daily practice. She completed her yoga teacher training in 2020 under the Dharma yoga approach.

Currently residing in Chicago, Lily offers therapy services in Spanish and English, as well as teaching yoga classes and leading workshops focused on personal growth through yoga practices. She specializes in yoga for trauma and has had the privilege of leading the Mysore Chicago Yoga program under the guidance of her teacher, whom she continues to assist.
