Join us to explore your spiritual side through movement, music and recharging your nervous system. Dia de los Muertos is a very spiritual time in Latin America in which we can connect with our loved ones who have passed. This the time for renewal – and your capacity to shine is at its highest potential. This will be a unique Retreat: twice daily yoga and meditation, creation of a Dia Altar, Sound baths, earth-based rituals, kirtan, pranayama, and nourishing dips into the sea.
This family-friendly one week retreat with Rachel Rajput and Malka Lew will take place at Mar De Jade: a magical yoga and meditation retreat center in Chacala, Mexico. Chacala is 41 miles north of Puerta Vallerta. We will pick you up from the airport at PV and deliver you right to the door of Paradise!
We will deepen our yoga practice and enjoy a true digital detox. Unwind in paradise with twice-daily offerings of yoga and meditation to soothe your troubled soul. Feast on healthy and organic farm-to-table buffet meals, get a massage, take a jungle hike, tour the working organic farm, detoxify in an Aztec Sweat Lodge, enjoy pampering spa treatments, swim in the pools, or take a dip in the ocean waters. *If you must use the Wifi, it is fast, with very few connectivity problems.
But wait! Mar De Jade is also a socially conscious nonprofit organization that has a number of community efforts. It is run by founder Laura del Valle and her daughter Anjelica, who live on the property. Our retreat fees go directly to support:
El Jardin: their local school (free for community children)
El Rancho: their organic permaculture farm
Tao De Jade: trade school for underserved teens, and single parents.
Rachel Rajput and Malka Lew
Rachel Rajput started Left Coast Power Yoga in 2013 to bring Oakland its first heated Power Yoga Community! Over the years Left Coast has grown to include two vibrant locations, Teacher Trainings, local and international retreats, and more. Left Coast’s outdoor studio, Silent Disco Yoga Oakland, was formed in 2020 in response to the need for outdoor wellness and continues to offer weekly classes (Feb – Oct). Rachel got her RYT-200 from Laughing Lotus SF, RYT-500 from Yoga Tree SF, and is a certified Mama Tree Pre and PostNatal teacher. She has been leading retreats to Mar De Jade since 2018 and loves this beach town for relaxation and renewal!
Malka Lew has been practicing yoga since she was 21 years old when she stumbled into an Iyengar Studio. She began focusing on alignment and later fell in love with flow. In 2013, Malka moved to Thailand and discovered herself as a teacher as she started to teach everyday at a healing center. Feeling the call to heal more, she traveled to NYC in 2014 and received her 500 hours Yoga Certificate from the Master Dharma Mitra. Yoga for Malka is a way to live this life in the most sacred way possible. It’s about being present with each moment and deepening our capacity to love ourselves, and each other.
