What to expect:
✨ Nia dance – Whether a novice or a seasoned Nia practitioner, you’ll discover the joy of moving for pleasure, blending dance arts, martial arts and healing arts.
✨ Wisdom playshops – You’ll gain valuable new tools and perspectives to lead you back to your peaceful center. Yvonne and Julie will share their insights, blended with simple practices in the art of mindfulness.
✨ Restorative stretching – Really, really let go with simple, resting poses that are sure to bring you into deep physical, mental and emotional relaxation.
✨Additional healing modalities – Experience Qi Gong and guided meditation for greater clarity and energy.
✨ Plentiful downtime – allowing you to melt into the spaciousness of time, and enjoy Mar de Jade’s spa treatments and excursions.

Approximate daily schedule:
6-7 am Sunrise Qi Gong on the beach
7-8 am Music meditation
8-9 am Nia dance
9-10 am Breakfast
11 am-1 pm Workshop 3x per week
1:30-2:30 pm Lunch
2:30-4:30 pm Free time/spa treatment/excursion
4:30-6:00 pm Meditation/Gentle movement/yoga 5x per week
6:30-7:30 pm Dinner
7:30 pm-Conversation, connection, laughs, relaxation
Yvonne Myles
Yvonne Myles is a Nia Technique Black Belt instructor with more than 25 years’ teaching experience. Now retired from the energy industry, she infuses her teaching with a spirit that people feel instead of hear. In 2019 she co-founded the Houston Nia Collective, which morphed into the Embody Joy Collective. Yvonne is committed to wellbeing through movement, eating well, mindfulness and reverence for nature.
Julie Wilson
Julie Wilson is a Houston-based Nia Technique Brown Belt instructor who lights up the room each time she steps onto the dance floor. She consistently delivers the Nia “promise” of inspiring wellness through movement and joy. With a 30-year career as a communicator on energy-sector issues, she captivates audiences both big and small.
