This Retreat will take place at Mar De Jade in Chacala, Mexico, for 7 nights led by Katie Surbrook and Lyndsey Paul. The focus of this retreat is healthy living and will include Pilates-centered classes, excursions, and group hikes, with some peppered in yoga and meditation. This retreat includes 7 nights of lodging, 3 meals/day, one excursion, and a round-trip flight if opted in.
Each day is thoughtfully designed to nourish you. Imagine starting with an energizing 7am Pilates class, followed by a delicious breakfast at 8:30am. Mid-mornings offer inspiring excursions or group outings. Enjoy lunch at 1pm, then unwind with solo time—relax on the beach, stroll through town, or sip a Margarita by the pool. Afternoons and evenings offer more opportunities for Pilates or yoga, a tranquil sunset, a delightful dinner, and soothing gentle yoga or meditation to end the day. Challenging, connected, fun classes with strong cueing and big heart. Happiness is not something you aim for—it’s a byproduct of orienting your life around what brings you joy. Movement and fitness bring me joy and I want to bring that to everyone I meet.For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to movement and fitness as a way to escape—it quickly became my happy pill and eventually just who I am. With over 13 years in the fitness industry, I bring a blend of strength, energy, and heart to every class I lead. From personal training and building customized programs to coaching small-group strength classes and co-leading yoga and fitness retreats in Mexico, you can expect my classes to be challenging, connected, and fun. My classes are filled with thoughtful programming, strong cueing, intentional movement, and a playlist that keeps you pushing just a little further. You’ll leave feeling strong, empowered, and smiling. When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me on the phone with one of my three daughters, sipping a fresh margarita, or baking a batch of chocolate chip cookies—sometimes all at once.
Lyndsey Paul Hot Pilates
Music-driven hot Pilates that builds strength and confidence. Hot pilates has changed the game for how I manage stress in my life! Over the years, I’ve had great instructors who have helped push me past what I thought I was capable of, both mentally and physically. Being in the hot room has helped me become stronger and more confident in all areas of life. That confidence ultimately led me to become an instructor. In my classes, you can expect to be challenged and championed every time you step onto the mat. Let’s turn the music up and get stronger together! Outside the studio, I enjoy spending time outside doing the stereotypical PNW activities: hiking, camping, trail running, and cycling. When not in motion, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, good food, a sitcom I’ve seen too many times, and my two kitties, Heehee and Tubby.
Katie Wuestenberg Hot Vinyasa, Hot Pilates, Vinyasa, Hatha, Kids Yoga
Mindfulness, strength, breath work, and community-centered practice. I started practicing yoga in college as an elective course and immediately experienced many benefits, including mindfulness, breath work, increased flexibility, and strength. Best of all, practicing yoga, especially during high-stress moments such as college finals, gave me a sense of peace and focus. After college, I continued to practice yoga on and off for the next 10+ years, really leaning on it during difficult life moments such as losing my dad to Angiosarcoma and then my mom seven years later to Glioblastoma. During the last three years, I increased my practice even more because the way I felt during and after class was life-changing compared to how I was feeling day to day before. Presently, my husband and I have two kids raised here in Troutdale. I saw a unique opportunity to open a studio and share this passion with my community — right in the heart of Troutdale.At Columbia Flow, we now have two studio spaces, including a heated room, allowing us to expand offerings for our growing community. I look forward to sharing hot vinyasa, hot pilates, vinyasa, hatha, kids yoga, mommy/daddy and me classes, and so much more. See you on the mat!
