Katie came to yoga to deal with the stresses of being a public school teacher in 2010. By 2014, she had completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training with Lisa Bloom in Minneapolis. Katie says of her classes, “You will find the right balance of challenge, fun, and reflection. You’ll let go of your ego to tap into your inner strength, to be brave, and to try new things!” Her everyday activities and interests off the mat reflect this balance, as well; Katie enjoys biking, gardening, camping, reading, pizza, and even flying kites. She uses her personal practice not only toward a sense of peace and happiness, but also on the endless path of self-discovery and self-improvement. Through teaching yoga and meditation, Katie aims to spread the knowledge of self-love, empowerment, and loving-kindness.
