If you work in healthcare, you work your tail off. You are invited to join your peers to rejuvenate, fortify, and heal. This is a time for YOU to feel cared for. Facilitated by former ER providers (RN and mental health/art therapist), and through supportive and restorative activities such as mindfulness, art, yoga, and experiential learning, our goal is for you to feel nurtured, connected, AND leave with new tools for your own well being and a rekindled sense of purpose.
*This activity is pending approval from the National Association of Social Workers and by the California Board of Registered Nursing for 24 contact hours.
Each day will follow the same general schedule, as noted below, with 2 hours of CE learning available per session, for a total of 4 CEs per day. The 6-day schedule allows for in-depth exploration as well as ample time for rest and relaxation.
0730-0830: AM Yoga
0900-1000 Breakfast
1030-1230 CE Offering – 2 CEs
1300-1400 Lunch
1430-1630 CE Offering – 2 CEs
1700-1800 Restorative Yoga
18:30-1930 Dinner
Heather Sweeney
Heather Sweeney, RN, MSN, CEN has been a critical care nurse for 17 years and currently works in the PACU. She has managed in inpatient and outpatient arenas, worked in the ICU, and was in the Emergency Department for 10+ years, including the first 2 years of CoVid. She is ardent about helping healthcare workers remember their passion and sustain in the field.
Amy Ponteri
Amy Ponteri, LPC, LCAT, ATR-BC has been a mental health art therapist for nearly 25 years. Currently in private practice, she worked for 16 years in the Emergency Department, including the first 2 years of CoVid. She has taught at Lewis & Clark College, facilitated CE events, and supervises new therapists. She strives to bring playfulness into the hard work of healthcare. amyponteri.com
Leah Marshall
A lifetime fitness and health enthusiast, Leah is a personal trainer, spin instructor, health and nutrition coach, and E-RYT 500 certified yoga instructor. Leah holds a master’s degree from NYU and has been leading yoga retreats for 10 years (including 9 at Mar de Jade!). As a breast cancer survivor, she has found a newfound appreciation for living.
