“Come share the changing of the seasons with us at Mar De Jade for our «Spring Emergence» yoga and meditation immersion. We will be surrounded by jungle and ocean, and we’ll share the transformative experience of emerging from winter to spring. Treat yourself to awe-inspiring views, an awesome community of people, and auspicious inner growth. This retreat welcomes and honors all levels of yoga experience. Practice will be twice daily, and will offer both power and restorative formats. We invite you to take care of yourself and do not require your attendance to all practices. Our «Spring Emergence» retreat asks you to take a step back and practice introspection. What do you need? We ask that you unplug to recharge. We are grateful you have taken this time out for yourself, and are humbled to be your guides though this mystical experience. “

Brittany Smith
Brittany is a E-YRT500 Baptiste Inspired teacher, and holds several supplementary yoga certificates including yoga therapy, yoga for Veterans, yoga for PTSD, and yoga for eating disorders. Brittany is also a certified Personal trainer, and Reiki practitioner. “I found myself in child’s pose after a serious injury that severely limited my mobility. By some miracle shortly after my injury, I happened upon a yoga studio. For several months the only posture I was able to do was child’s pose. I would stay in the same corner, day after day, class after class, with my forehead to my mat, and I would envision myself doing the postures as the teacher called them; some days I didn’t listen and cried instead. Over time, I tried more poses, and as my body grow stronger, my inner resolve and sense of radical self love blossomed. The space yoga created for me to heal my physical body, my thought patterns, and connection with myself is something I remember every time I teach and practice yoga. I cherish the wisdom a yoga practice offers, and it is an honor for me to facilitate my yoga students through their personal processes.” Brittany loves all things mystical, magical, and mysterious. She is also a super anatomy nerd. Through her knowledge of esoteric teachings, and studies of integrated physiology, Brittany offers one-of-a-kind yoga classes.
Jesse Seymour
Jesse has been practicing yoga and meditation for over a decade. However in the last 5 years he has deepened his commitment to daily practice and self inquiry in an effort to truly transform as well as emerge into a state of empowerment and kindness. Now, for Jesse Yoga is home. A sanctuary to feel an authentic connection to oneself, to nature, and to be free of the clutches of the restless mind. It is through this discovery that Jesse has chosen to share his love and passion for yoga with others. Under the tutelage of Gina Caputo(Colorado School of Yoga) Jesse received his 200 RYT and ultimately a great foundation with which to offer an integrated Asana practice. Life is full of twists and turns, challenges and social pressures. Always teaching us to humbly surrender to what is and embrace what we can’t control. Jesse offers a clear intention to inspire stillness, inner presence, strength, connection and ultimately leave you feeling truly great on all levels. “It is in this state that we can fully drop in to the flow and perfection of life, a treasure found within.” JS Throughout his life Jesse has worn many hats. In his teens and early twenties he was a professional surfer in California and Hawaii. Also an accomplished drummer and percussionist he toured the world as a performer and music educator sharing his passion for the music of Africa, Cuba and Brasil. You can still find him composing music and playlists to accompany his classes. Jesse has a deep love for world art forms and culture and embraces the amazing diversity of this global community. In addition he spent many years working in permaculture and sustainable farming in Hawaii, thus developing a strong kinship with nature and the elements. It is with this diverse experience that Jesse brings a unique and inspiring approach to teaching Yoga. He offers a strong invigorating practice delicately balanced with effort and ease in the true spirit of Hatha Yoga. Jesse emphasizes alignment and grace as well as breath throughout his classes and uses creative sequencing to keep you present and focused. With humility and curiosity he remains devoted to refining his practice and experience so that he may bring the best possible offering to his students. www.awakenedtraveltours.com
