Important things to know before you visit.
Mar de Jade’s beautiful natural surroundings and serene atmosphere makes for a magnificent travel experience if you enjoy direct contact with nature. It is situated at the foothills of a tropical jungle, between the mountains and the warm shores of the pacific ocean. You will hear birds each morning and the ocean waves throughout the day. There are crickets, butterflies, and sometimes mosquitoes! For maximum comfort, all rooms have screened window and balcony doors and most have air conditioners.
When you make a reservation, let us know your accessibility needs so we can place you in the most appropriate room. We do not have elevators at Mar de Jade, but we do have pathways, ramps, and stairs connecting all of the rooms and common areas. Our Ocean Rooms are only accessible by stairs and some can be a workout just to get to!
Buen provecho! We eat well at Mar de Jade because we believe that how we eat profoundly affects the planet and our own health. Every day, our meals are carefully and lovingly prepared from fresh produce provided by our 17-acre organic farm.
Meals are served buffet-style during specific meal hours and we do not offer à la carte options. We offer many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes and can cater to food allergies if advised well ahead of time. Our kitchen makes chicken, fish, and seafood dishes, but no pork or beef. We only sparingly purchase ingredients that do not grow locally.
Mar de Jade is a place for rest where you can unplug! We have free WiFi in common areas — the dining room, guest lounge, and bar. There is no WiFi in our guest rooms. Our rural location makes for a sometimes spotty internet connection, especially in the rainy season from June through October.
Mar de Jade hosts the Best Retreats in Mexico. Choose from a wide variety of Yoga Retreats, Meditation Retreats, Workshops and many other Programs!
