In 1989, we established MDJ Community Projects, a non-profit organization which has supported initiatives from health and wellness programs, youth education, to sustainability and micro-industry projects. All projects are powered by the revenue we make from Mar de Jade, individual donations, and small grants. Over the last three decades, these projects have had an incredibly meaningful impact on the lives of at-risk youth and struggling families in our local communities. In 2024, we founded Chacala Education Fund, a 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is to raise funds to support the work being carried out by Mar de Jade Community Projects. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law, and 100% of the the funds raised go directly to the programs that provide educational opportunities to local children and youth in Chacala and nearby communities.
