In 1989, we established MDJ Community Projects, a non-profit organization which has supported initiatives from health and wellness programs, youth education, to sustainability and micro-industry projects.
In 1989, we established MDJ Community Projects, a non-profit organization which has supported initiatives from health and wellness programs, youth education, to sustainability and micro-industry projects. All projects are powered by the revenue we make from Mar de Jade, individual donations, and small grants. Over the last three decades, these projects have had an incredibly meaningful impact on the lives of at-risk youth and struggling families in our local communities. In 2015, MDJ Community Projects became fiscally sponsored in the U.S. by the Tides Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) organization with over 40 years of experience supporting and accelerating growth in small non-profit organizations around the world. This has made a huge impact on our ability to fundraise and grow our projects, because all contributions from our generous guests and donors are tax-deductible.
