Mar de Jade (Sea of Jade) is a retreat center that welcomes people to rest and enjoy a simple way of life. Set between a tropical jungle mountainside and the rolling waves of the Pacific Ocean, Mar de Jade is surrounded by natural beauty and absolute tranquility.
This retreat is an opportunity to practice yoga together in a beautiful, natural setting, away from the usual distractions of daily life. We will explore a balanced practice including asana, movement, breathing techniques, and relaxation led by Alek Trail. Classes will be offered in a way to accommodate a variety of levels with the expectation that students are in relatively good physical condition and have a solid familiarity with Vinyasa Flow Yoga’s commonly used asanas and transitions. All students are (always) encouraged to modify the practice so that it meets their needs.

Join BodyMantra founder Kimberly Jonas for a week of movement, stillness and reflection. Participants will be invited to explore un-choreographed, self-guided movement, set against a backdrop of music ranging from world beats to classical cadences; all with the intention of surrendering to the impulse of each moment, listening deeply for what the body and spirit need most. Our time will incorporate periodic conscious dialogue with other group members in order to more fully embrace the essence of what we are experiencing and learning through our movement journeys. While participants will be encouraged to move to the edges of their comfort zones in order to catalyze breakthrough, there will also be room for quiet, inward reflection for the moments when tenderness or uncertainty are present.

Join Margie and Barbara for a glorious week of yoga, singing, chanting, poetry, play, ceremony, and community. You don't need ANY experience with yoga or singing to reap the full benefit of this infusion of radical well-being. Our emphasis is on pleasure and presence more than perfection. We offer two classes per day (10:30-12:30 and 7:30-9:00) with lots of time in between to do whatever is needed to re-connect with Nature's rhythms, to give ourselves enough rest and play, movement and song, good company and wholesome nourishment to stand and engage with whatever life presents us.
