Bridgette Shaw-Bane

Start the day with a multi-level breath based slow flow that will lead into a meditation led by my teacher, Alan Finger, as we join his retreat each morning after our practice.

We will meet up with Alan and his group to be part of their afternoon discussion where he will guide us deeper into understanding our yoga practice beyond the mat.

I will then guide you into a deeply relaxing sunset restorative practice with Yoga Nidra.

with Eva Vigran, MA Somatic Psychology

Join Eva Vigran, MA Somatic Psychology and Founder of CoreConnexion movement practice, for a seven-day retreat and workshop that invites each of us to rejuvenate, renew and “reboot” our energy system. We will discover and explore the different colors and facets of our individual and authentic aliveness through playful connection with ourselves, others and nature. Through the simple process of the “8 keys of connection and aliveness” we can get in touch with our own innate resources, vitality, creativity and strength at our core.

Each day begins with a somatic meditation preparing body and mind to embark on a journey that invites movement and stillness, listening and expression, body and soul, community awareness and co-creation. In the afternoons or evenings we will play in nature to get in touch with our inner nature. There also will be time to explore the surroundings, go whale watching and just hang out at the beach!!!

Mar de Jade is along Mexico’s Tropical Pacific Coast, about 90 minutes north of popular tourist destination Puerto Vallarta. It is located on the south end of Chacala Beach, Nayarit, Mexico. It is easily accessible from the airport at Puerto Vallarta. Chacala has one of the most pristine beaches along the coastline, soft golden sand lined with coconut trees.

One of the many gifts of the Yoga practice is that we are faced with the challenge and the ability to go internally, find what is present within us, and make a call to action out in the world around us We also learn to relax into ourselves and find joy along the journey. Practicing Yoga away from the responsibilities of everyday life will re-inspire your mind and soul, and remind you of the joy to be found within you and around you. The Joy of the Journey Yoga Retreat is that reminder; to live fully in love, passion and inspiration.

Each day will consist of two Yoga classes; a vigorous Vinyasa class in the morning, followed by a more relaxing afternoon session with meditation. Each day will have space for free time to roam the beach, swim in the ocean and pools, the opportunity to get a massage, or relax on a hammock and read a book.
